Walz, a GIS “nerd” and former teacher, has passionately used mapping for problem-solving, from predicting global crises with his students to streamlining social services in Minnesota. With Harris’s fondness for Venn diagrams, this data-driven duo is raising buzz as a team embracing complexity through visualization—quite a contrast to Donald Trump’s infamous Sharpie-altered hurricane map.
It is indicative of a mind that accepts complexity and seeks to account for it, instead of oversimplifying it into a false but attractive narrative.

Practical guidelines are offered to inspire gender-inclusive design, along with a question pool and an ethnographic guide for further research. Urban ethnographies of five case studies round out the report, providing rich examples for scholars and practitioners aiming to enhance inclusivity in Amman's public spaces.
